Cottonwood tree at the campsite

The late September SW Tracker’s Meetup was a fun and educational meeting for the whole family. A variety of trackers came from all over the state of Colorado to a ranch on the front range just south of Pueblo.  Skills worked included cordage, tracking, stick/knife fighting and defense, basketry, plant identification and fossil and artifact hunting.

A lot of materials were traded, including hides, stone, medicinal plants and dogbane.

The plan is to make this a biennial event, spring and fall, and rotate the location amongst the tracker folk.

All in all, it was a great networking and relationship building experience. Contact me if you want to be included in the next gathering.
